Debbie Green
Chair
Debbie Green obtained a history degree from Cambridge and moved to Cardiff in 1988 to start her accountancy training with Deloittes and subsequently PWC. Since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant she has worked in finance roles connected with Lottery grant funding in the Arts Council of Wales, before moving to Chwarae Teg in 2001 as Director of Finance and Resources.
She started her career in housing with Dewi Sant in 2005, and played a key role in the merger with Swansea Housing Association to form Coastal Housing Group. She is Group Director of Finance and IT Services, and a member of the senior management team for Coastal Housing Group which manages 5,000 homes in Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Carmarthenshire, has a multimillion pound building development and regeneration programme, and is in the top 50 of the Times Best Companies to work for.
She is on the Board of the Chartered Institute of Housing Cymru where she serves as Treasurer; she is also Treasurer on the Board of Gofal, a leading Welsh mental health and wellbeing charity and has just been elected onto the council for Community Housing Cymru.
In 2005 Debbie was awarded an MBA from the Open University and in 2010 Debbie qualified to become a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
Anna Freeman
Anna Freeman is Director of Employment at the Welsh Local Government Association. CIPD qualified, her role involves supporting Welsh authorities on their human resources issues, and partnership work to promote effective action on workforce issues. Her previous local government career includes time as Head of Policy and Personnel for Monmouthshire County Council and Equalities Adviser for Cardiff City Council.
Before local government Anna worked as a civil servant in the Unemployment Benefits and Employment Services, and was active in the trades union, CPSA, holding various Regional and Branch posts.
Anna is a keen exponent of equalities and diversity policy and practice and has spent time seconded to both the Cardiff Race Equality Council and the Equal Opportunities Commission in Wales.
Wyn Prichard
Wyn has been in post since July 2005 as Construction Skills Wales Director and three and a half years in his previous post of Wales Strategic Advisor.
He has been involved in Skills Learning for the last ten years of his working career and also be represents the Sector Skills Network.
Wyn spent six years in the Training and Enterprise Council, working specifically with business in terms of improving their quality and training development. Previous to this, he spent eighteen years in the banking and finance industry in a variety of roles, including
inspection and managing a construction tendering portfolio.
Wyn is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and sits on the Board of Governors for Pembrokeshire College.
He is a member of the Welsh Assembly Government/Value Wales Community Benefits Project Board and also a member of the Built Environment Skills Alliance and the Project Advisory Board (HEFCW) for Development of Higher Level Learning for the workforce in Wales.
Wyn is Chair of the Cardiff University Business & Industry Board Leadership & Management Wales Group.
He is also a member of the Wales Government Community Benefits Steering Group.
Wyn has previously been a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB), the External Reference Group for the FE Review in Wales – Webb and the Welsh Assembly Government Business Procurement Task Group (previously chaired by Andrew Davies, Minister of Enterprise Innovation and Networks).
He is a graduate of Hatfield Polytechnic – BA (Hons) in Business Studies.
Sandra Busby
Vice Chair
As well as being the figurehead for an industry that pumps over £400m into the Welsh economy each year, Sandra is a board member of several organisations which shape the way Welsh business operates.
After a successful career in the newspaper world, Sandra became managing director of
he Cardiff and Newport Call Centre Initiative before setting up the Welsh Contact Centre Forum in 2003, a high value employers’ forum which looks after the interests of the 28,000 people and over 170 centres which make up one of the country’s most vibrant industries.
As a board member of women’s economic development agency Chwarae Teg and Business in the Community, Sandra is key to decisions which define the Welsh working landscape.
Sandra is a regular speaker on business issues in the media and at events across the country.
Jeff Andrews
Treasurer
Jeff Andrews is a Special Adviser to Ministers of the Welsh Government, with responsibilities for finance and European matters.
He was appointed in Sept 2004 and prior to his appointment had been a Chief Officer in Cardiff Council, with responsibilities for the Authority's economic development activities, management of the Council's significant land & property asset portfolio and European matters.
A native of Cardiff and an accountant by profession, he has worked for several Welsh local authorities, the European Commission in Brussels and as a management consultant for Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
He is a Board Member and Treasurer of both, Chwarae Teg and the Wales Co- operative Centre.
Carol Bogue-Lloyd
Carol has over 25 years experience working in the utilities industry, and has since then moved her career to work within the IT industry 2003 to present where she has been responsible for planning, designing, developing and operating a multi-media virtual Contact Centre across the globe delivering services to customers via Service Desk, On Site Services and Command and Control production units.
Carol is currently Head of Global Nearshore for Atos and her responsibility now encompasses numerous countries, delivering services to customers via Service Desk and Workplace Global Centres working in over 30 languages with a headcount in excess of 3000.
Carol’s strengths within the Global arena of Service Desks is minimising attrition in Centres, developing skillsets via training plans and cross-skilling plans and producing Best in Class Centres across the globe.
Carol is married with two daughters and lives in Newport, South Wales.
Leighton Jenkins
Leighton Jenkins is assistant director - policy at CBI Wales, where he is responsible for working with CBI members to develop devolved policies, building strong links with all levels of government on behalf of Welsh businesses, and representing the voice of business in Wales.
Leighton is also currently head of the CBI’s UK-wide retail project.
Born in Bridgend, Leighton studied at King's College London, gaining a law degree and a theology diploma, he then went on to study at Cardiff University gaining a master's degree in European policy. Leighton has a monthly column with the South Wales Echo.
Sian Wiblin
Representing the Wales TUC, Sian Wiblin is a full time officer with the Public and Commercial Services Union where she covers a wide range of employment related issues.
She is a past President of the Wales TUC and has chaired its Women's Committee, and is responsible for equality issues for PCS within Wales.
She is particularly interested in promoting mentoring both within the workplace and the trade union movement.
Voirrey Manson
Voirrey has over thirty years experience of working in the field of equality and human rights. During this time she has worked at Public Services Management Wales (Academi Wales) and in the transition team responsible for setting up the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
In 2008, Voirrey gave evidence to the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women in New York as part of the UK delegation reporting on the fifth and sixth Periodic Reports. She has a passion for human rights within the wider global context and is an advocate of a human rights approach to delivering health services.
In September 2009, Voirrey spent eight weeks at the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice in Accra, Ghana through the WG International Learning Opportunity Programme. She was based as a researcher looking at the implementation and impact of disability legislation. She was inspired by the courage of ordinary Ghanaian people in holding their government and public services to account.
Voirrey‘s current role is to provide a specialised equality and human rights service across the health service in Wales. She is a qualified mediator and experienced action learning facilitator. As well as being a strong advocate for equality and human rights she also believes into putting this into practice personally through mentoring and coaching others.
Sue Lane
Sue was appointed to the Board in January 2012.
She brings to the Board a strong background in Human Resources and Development with a business focus (Cranfield Business School MBA). Her experience is gained from a range of sectors – manufacturing, food, pharmaceuticals, construction, financial services and services.
Sue works for Principality Building Society, one of Wales’s largest employers, as Group HR Director.
Susan Geary
Prior to becoming a co-founder and director of the consultancy firm Aurora Business Services, Susan held the position of Director of Business & Customer Services at Opportunity Wales, the highly successful WG and EU funded ebusiness support programme.
Prior to that Susan worked for HSBC in a senior management capacity in the areas of contact centre management, marketing, international finance and strategic business development. She also specialised in business process re-engineering for the Bank’s largest corporate clients.
Susan was born in Pontypridd and attended Hawthorn Comprehensive School and Loughborough University of Science and Technology. Susan was sponsored by HSBC (then Midland Bank) to study banking and finance and, on graduation, moved to London to commence her banking career. Susan met her husband Malcolm in London and they moved to Wales when career opportunities arose.
Susan is a former Chair and long standing Trustee of Chwarae Teg.
Shannon Robinson
Shannon is Managing Director, Shannon Robinson Associates Ltd and Social Enterprise Solutions.
Shannon is a business and social enterprise development professional with extensive experience of business consultancy for the public, private and voluntary sectors. Shannon currently runs Shannon Robinson Associates Ltd and Social Enterprise Solutions which provides specialist support to new and developing Third Sector organisations.
Shannon began her career as part of the External Audit Team for a private accountancy practise but moved to Italy when she married. On her return from Italy, Shannon began a successful career in Hospitality initially in a self employed capacity and later as part of the Senior Management Team for Whitbread Plc.
Shannon became involved in the Third Sector when she joined Community Enterprise Wales in 1993 and has spent the last twenty years supporting Not for Profit organisations to develop trading activities to improve their long term sustainability and reduce reliance on grant income.
Shannon sits on a number of volunteer boards including CAB Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent, and Dark Skys Wales.
