In partnership with National Assembly for Wales, Chwarae Teg wants to increase the number of women who give evidence to Assembly Committees, particularly in under-represented fields such as transport, environment, economy/business/finance, STEM, agriculture and energy. Could this be you?
These sessions will demonstrate good practice in terms of submitting written and oral evidence to committee inquiries and help build confidence and skills for engaging with committees.
Content
Day 1:
· What makes good written evidence
· What makes good oral evidence
· Perspectives from an Assembly Member/Chair; Assembly staff; expert witnesses
· Practice at preparing a written submission of evidence before the second training session
Day 2
· Mock oral evidence session, using Assembly staff as committee members
· Mock media interview with Assembly press officer
· Feedback on written and oral evidence submitted
