During June to September 2012 Chwarae Teg teamed up with SFEDI, the Sector Skills Council for Enterprise, to deliver the Get Mentoring workshops in Wales as part of the UK’s Business, Innovation and Skills UK initiative to support new and growing businesses.

The Get Mentoring project was set up to train business mentors with experience of the micro, small and medium-sized business sector who would be willing to volunteer one hour a month to support a business mentee up to a period of 2 years.

Working closely with SFEDI, Chwarae Teg successfully trained 49 new business Mentors in Wales and we wish them the very best in taking the first step towards supporting new and growing businesses in Wales and the UK.

Our project with SFEDI has now come to an end, however for more information on Get Mentoring please visit:-

Business Wales Mentoring

We are also delighted to share information of Business Wales Mentoring, a new
mentoring service for Welsh businesses set up by the Welsh Government.

The Business Wales Mentoring service offers:

  • A co-ordinated voluntary business mentoring service in Wales

  • A platform for Welsh businesses to engage on a business to business basis

  • Business expertise to promote business growth

The service is currently open for mentor registration and will be open for mentee registration from January 2013.

If you already have plenty of business experience, you could consider offering your services as a mentor to other businesses. This can be a very rewarding way of passing on the benefits of your experience. As a mentor you will support, develop, stimulate and challenge your mentee. You can mentor in a variety of ways – including online, face to face and by telephone.
