Chwarae Teg at Skills Cymru 2014
6th October 2014
This year Chwarae Teg will be at Skills Cymru to encourage girls to consider careers in industries such as Science, Engineering, Construction and more. Many women don’t realise that they are paid around 20% less than men, mostly as a result the types of jobs they take up. Women often enter job roles which are typically female such as childcare, administration or hairdressing and these jobs offer much lower salaries than the opportunities we will be promoting at the event. We are attending Skills Cymru to promote gender balance in the workplace and show girls how much they can earn in different job roles so that they can consider all the opportunities available to them.
As part of the event we will have a number of role models who will take part in Q&As and tweetchats. Among our guests are:
Lilli Craemer
