Marcella Maxwell, Chief Executive[email protected]
Marcella, a graduate of economics from Cardiff University, took up appointment as Chief Executive in January 2006. She has several years experience at senior management level within local government including head of Cardiff Council’s Economic Development Division where she had responsibility for a range of functions including economic strategy, business support and European Funding.
Through her work, she has an excellent grasp of the challenges facing the Welsh economy, particularly the economic and business imperative for increasing women’s participation in the workplace and promoting gender equality in the labour market in Wales.
Marcella’s vision for the organisation is to further position Chwarae Teg so that it can continue to play a crucial role in achieving equality and economic participation of women across all sectors where they are currently under-represented and in positions of seniority in public and professional life.
Trish Chalk, Commercial Director
Trish is former graduate and post graduate of The University of Wales Institute Cardiff and is the newest member of staff to join Chwarae Teg arriving in September 2007. Trish joins the organisation from Snowsport England a not for profit National Governing Body based in Birmingham where she held the post of Chief Executive for the past 3 years.
During her time at Snowsport England, Trish was responsible for a number of funded programmes, alongside reviewing and developing the operational functions of the organisation, products and services to ensure sustainability and growth.
Trish will be responsible for identifying a wide range of business opportunities and will also be responsible for maximising Chwarae Teg's strengths to develop commercial capacity
Ann Elliot, Resource Manager[email protected]
Ann joined Chwarae Teg in 2003. A Humanities graduate and Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (MCIPD) Ann has 20 years of Human Resource and Training experience working for the Employment Service, a youth training scheme and 15 years with AA Insurance Services.
Ann has responsibility for Chwarae Teg’s HR, ICT and office services.
Hayley Dunne, Business Development Manager[email protected]
Hayley joined Chwarae Teg in January 2001. She has 15 years experience of working in the voluntary sector with organisations such as Save the Children Fund, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association and Volunteer Reading Help.
Hayley’s work at Chwarae Teg focuses on Employment and she manages the Work Life Balance initiative within the organisation as well as having a business development role.
Judy Leering, Finance Manager[email protected]
Judy has been employed with Chwarae Teg since 1999 during which time she has undertaken the roles of Finance Officer and more recently Finance Manager. Judy is a qualified accountant (ACCA) and has also had 2 years training in IT technology.
Bev Pold, Business Development Manager[email protected]
Beverley ran her own business development and training consultancy for many years before joining Chwarae Teg in 2001. During her time with Chwarae Teg, she has worked on a range of projects including enterprise, education and skills and European initiatives.
