Education and skills development offers a great opportunity for change in Wales. By giving excluded women the opportunity to learn new skills, take on different roles and move up the career ladder a huge section of the population would be active in the Welsh economy for the first time.

Enterprise

Care

In promoting the economic development of women in Welsh life much of Chwarae Teg’s work focuses on removing the barriers that prevent women from maximising their career potential. Lack of quality, affordable care remains one of the main barriers.

Closure of the Enterprise Project

As of 31st March 2006 the Womens Enterprise Wales and Lone Parent Venture Projects come to an end, having assisted in the start-up of 738 businesses, and the creation of 1079 jobs. For further assistance in the area of starting a business please contact Business Eye on 08457 969798.
