Your rights, your say.
We are launching the final phase of our ‘Your rights, your say’ research on behalf of Plan International UK.
Chwarae Teg – Wales’s leading gender equality charity, is conducting the research on behalf of Plan International UK. Our recent survey asked 11-25 year olds in north Wales about their experiences, what support they felt was available to them and the services they may wish to access.
We now want to hear from anyone who identifies as a girl or young women, aged 18-25 living in North Wales to take part in an informal chat with our Collaborations Partner, Emma Tamplin.
We would love you to tell us of your experiences of growing up in North Wales, and are very interested to hear your views on some of the following topics:
- Body image and self-esteem
- Social Media
- Gender stereotyping and sexism in schools
- Relationships and sex education
- Feelings of safety in public spaces
- Access to out of school groups e.g sports
- Access to services
- Politics
- COVID-19
The result from this research will inform the Champions for Wales Programme - a girls’ rights movement, which supports young people to campaign on the issues affecting them and make positive change in their communities. It aims to ensure Wales is a place where girls are heard and feel empowered.
If you identify as a girl or young women, are aged 18-25 living in North and you want to help us work for your rights in Wales, please get in touch with Emma on [email protected], to talk through the issues you feel need to change to create a more positive Wales for young women.
