Target sponsor Womenspire 2022

13th May 2022

Tell us about your organisation.

Target is a leading provider of business process servicing and operational transformation for over 50 major financial institutions across the globe. We’re a forward-thinking company built around the central purpose of ‘transforming customer experiences’. We’re on a mission to help organisations deliver the best outcomes for their customers. We achieve this by combining the latest innovation with outstanding people skills. Our colleagues are critical to our success.

Why are you supporting the awards?

Women can sometimes be more reserved when shouting about their achievements. That needs to change. Womenspire is a great platform to celebrate successes – together. It’s an incredibly inspiring and emotive event with a fantastic following – something we had to be part of! We’ve been running the #IamRemarkable programme at Target to encourage our women (and men) to call out their accomplishments and triumphs. It’s so essential to all our personal development and growth.

Why does gender equality matter to you?

The Financial Services industry is traditionally male-dominated. We’re starting to see real change in the sector, driven by organisations like Chwarae Teg, leaders like Anne Boden, and initiatives like the Women in Finance Charter. We know that an inclusive and diverse culture focused on well-being and development is key to our success. With the right culture in place, we can deliver better results for our customers and our company. Our people are our greatest asset. We want them to feel seen, heard and supported so that they will choose to progress their careers at Target.

Why do you support the work of Chwarae Teg?

Women in our business and the wider industry must be supported. We want to foster a culture where women can realise their personal goals and professional potential. To do so is about more than just changing rules and influencing policy. It’s about empowering women to be all they can be. Chwarae Teg champions empowerment, providing a supportive and engaging network, creating opportunities, and developing future leaders. Our goals are completely aligned!

Sponsoring Womenspire is fantastic for Target, demonstrating to our colleagues and clients our commitment to gender equality. The event itself is inspiring, emotive, has a massive amount of engagement, and is one we are honoured to be a part of.
