Stephanie has strategic oversight and operational leadership of Chwarae Teg’s commercial enterprise. Responsible for planning, developing and implementing income generation and surplus raising activities based on Chwarae Teg’s goals and objectives. Stephanie has a proven record of leading from the front, managing successful sales teams for global organisations, while juggling multiple responsibilities in high pressure, targeted environments. Stephanie is passionate about equality for all and driven by positive societal changes.

Rina Evans

Senior Delivery Partner - Women's Team

Rina is a CIPD qualified learning and development specialist. She was previously responsible for the delivery of the Chwarae Teg’s AN2 Women’s Programme. She now oversees the design, development and delivery of the FairPlay Employer learning and development activity. Rina has over 20 years experience developing management and team programmes for telecoms companies including BT, O2 and Telefonica. She also worked with Swansea University on the LEAD Wales and ION leadership programmes. She is an experienced coach and passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion. She enjoys putting together training interventions for organisations and individuals designed to challenge, inform and excite.

Training and Qualifications Partner

With over twenty years’ experience in education and training, I love to bring fresh new ideas to the training and development of our learners. Affecting others to cause change whether it is through building skills, developing knowledge or improving work life balance is my passion.

As a Training and Qualifications partner, I am responsible for developing an inspiring Career Development Programme for women at Advancing Leadership level including accredited modules at ILM Level 5. This includes the design, development and assessment of learning programmes targeted at middle to senior management level, through a variety of mediums including classroom based, blended learning approaches and virtual classrooms.

Caroline is a CIPD qualified HR generalist, with years of expertise working in equality and inclusion with organisations of all sizes and across all sectors. Previously a member of our Agile Nation Team, where she worked in supporting our project participants to implement change and best practice procedures to help get the best for both the business and their people, she brings a broad working knowledge of all aspects of business management, as well as being a qualified executive coach. Caroline provides commercial HR support services in our FairPlay Employer Team. With a focus on equality, diversity and inclusion, our business support includes our FairPlay Employer Benchmarking and Award and bespoke consultancy solutions for you and people. We keep up to date with the latest thinking related to the field of leadership, human resource, inclusive working practices and employment law to deliver bespoke quality products which contribute to the on-going development of your organisation.

Alison is an HR Professional and a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD with a pragmatic, pro-active, down-to-earth approach and a can-do philosophy. She has considerable experience of working successfully with a variety of organisations and personalities, to deliver value and achieve challenging goals.

An excellent communicator, with extensive knowledge of employment law and equality and diversity, who, as an Employer Partner delivering our FairPlay Employer Services, is not afraid to challenge constructively and creatively, to help shape and develop an organisation and embrace best practice.

Jessica comes to Chwarea Teg from a Fundraising and Arts Background, bringing with her creative experience to build on workshop and presentation delivery.

Working with Chwarae Teg’s FairPlay Employers Jessica enjoy seeing the great differences organisations across all sectors are making to battle inequality in Wales and further afield. “Seeing the work undertaken by the organisations I work with and knowing how it’s making a difference is amazing, it’s why I go to work!”

Long term Jessica shares the ambition of all at Chwarae Teg, Gender Equality in Wales. Working with the Commercial arm of Chwarae Teg to ensure our services are available to all and everyone can access support, training and development as an organisation or a Women progressing in their career and in the economy.

Maggie leads Chwarae Teg’s Engagement Team. The team is responsible for engaging with both women and businesses across Wales for the Agile Nation 2 programmes. Maggie has a get it done attitude and is a real team player, while ensuring standards and quality are always the number one priority. Maggie is passionate about equality for all and making a difference to people’s lives.

Ellie is part of the Engagement Team, working to raise awareness of Chwarae Teg’s vision and driving engagement in the Agile Nation 2 projects across the South Wales area. She is driven by the sense of achievement gained when we help a woman to reach her full career potential, or support organisations to implement practices that not only improve the bottom line, but contribute to our vision of creating a fairer Wales. Ellie has a proven track record in sales and client account management, across various industries including sport and art sponsorship and fundraising, working both with global brands and local organisations. Within Chwarae Teg Ellie is part of the committee that delivers the annual Womenspire Awards and is currently working towards a level 4 qualification from the Institute of Leadership and Management.

Diane is part of the FairPlay Employer team which is the commercial arm of Chwarae Teg. Diane’s main responsibility is account management and development of existing FairPlay Employer subscribers and introducing new clients to our portfolio of products including our FairPlay Employer Benchmarking & Award Subscription Service, Inclusive Leadership Programme and our Bespoke Consultancy Solutions menu. Diane has been tasked with building the FairPlay Employer brand not only in Wales, but UK wide, and having previously worked in the Agile Nation team for over 3 years has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with organisations to help them develop inclusive working practices and create a workplace culture where every employee feels they belong. Diane has decades of experience having previously worked in the commercial sector for many high profile brands, and she truly understands the importance of effective and clear communication. Diane’s down to earth attitude and easy going approach encourages customers to have open and honest conversations leading to a real understanding of their needs and the solutions needed.

Co-ordinating Partner - Engagement

Alexia produces different types of analyses for inclusion in Board reporting and to assist teams with day to day operations as well as longer term plans (e.g. building capacity modelling). Alexia has an MSc in Statistics so she is good with data and gets involved in the set up and analysis of data capture forms and client surveys and is using Power BI to analyse the responses. Alexia has long experience working in Marketing so she also creates e-shots using Click Dimensions and adds content to the Chwarae Teg website.

Nicola Williams

FairPlay Employer Board Member

She has worked for Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water since 2012, where she is currently Legal and Compliance Director and Company Secretary. She is passionate about Inclusivity & Diversity in the workplace and chairs Welsh Water’s Re:Think group which is rethinking the company’s initiatives to promote an inclusive and diverse workplace. Nicola is a Trustee and Vice-Chair of Citizens Advice Rhondda Cynon Taf, and between 2015 and 2020 was a member of the Wales Committee of the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

Nicola originally trained as a solicitor and worked with a City law firm, specialising in public law issues. In 2004, she relocated to Wales and became a partner in the Dispute Resolution team at a national law firm, specialising in public law and regulatory disputes, representing clients including educational institutions, utilities companies, and SMEs, and advising on a range of issues including contract law, regulatory matters, human rights and the equality issues.

Brian Meechan

Brian Meechan

FairPlay Trading Ltd Board Member

Brian is an award-winning journalist, broadcaster and presenter. He’s also the co-founder, co-director and chair of the Cardiff Book Festival, and the director of Stay Gold Media, which operates across broadcasting and events.

As BBC Wales’ business correspondent, Brian covers business and the economy for TV, radio and online. He was also the creative producer and presenter of a TV documentary and he presented a weekly business programme on radio. He’s covered stories for BBC Breakfast, the Six O’Clock News, the News Channel, Radio 4, 5Live, BBC Scotland and ITN. Brian was previously a political reporter.

Spotting a gap in Cardiff’s cultural scene, he started up the Cardiff Book Festival with some friends. The festival runs over three days encouraging reading, writing and debate through dozens of events.

He’s studied at Glasgow University, Cardiff University and Edinburgh Napier University and is starting a postgraduate certificate in business leadership at Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Deputy Director - Constitution and Justice, Welsh Government

After graduating with an English degree from St John’s College, Oxford Christopher worked as a project manager responsible for marketing, producing and distributing a range of print and web resources for schools on behalf of public, private and third sector clients. Christopher then joined the Welsh Government on the Civil Service Fast Stream and spent eight years working mainly on economic policy and regeneration and also as Senior Private Secretary to the Deputy First Minister. After five years at the National Assembly for Wales Commission as Head of Policy and Legislation Committee Service, Christopher returned to the Welsh Government as Deputy Director – Constitution and Justice.

Christopher has two young daughters for whom he is determined to help build a fairer Wales where they can achieve and prosper. Christopher became a board member in March 2016 and Vice Chair in December 2021.

Robert Lamb

Robert Lamb

Director, Expectation State

Expectation State works to increase the quantity and quality of private sector investment in conflict-affected countries. Robert held senior leadership roles at a leading private investment firm. He has significant expertise in investment decision making and the negotiation of commercial arrangements, having been personally responsible for the acquisition and management of more than $8 billion of investment capital in the UK, Middle East, and Africa, and having served as a voting member on a number of investment committees.

Robert is also a Trustee of Ty Hafan, the Welsh paediatric palliative care charity and is a native Welsh speaker.

Robert became a Co-Optee board member in June 2018.

Cerys joined Chwarae Teg in 2017, having spent 15 years working in the education and skills sector. As Chief Executive Cerys sets the strategic direction for Chwarae Teg and stretches our ambitions as we strive to make Wales a world leader in gender equality. Cerys’ role is about building strategic partnerships with other organisations and businesses to achieve our ambitions and empowering colleagues to fulfil their roles as effectively as possible, hopefully leading by example, demonstrating what we can achieve by working together.

Liz is a fellow the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Having over 25 years operating at Director level, with experience within the private sector for working with marketing, IT and publishing companies. Liz has worked within the charity sector for the last 13 years.

Liz’s key skills lie in making strategic and operational changes to work smarter not harder! She has the ability to cope with changing environments and priorities and more importantly working and developing a diverse team to achieve our objectives. Having the experience in operating at a strategic level, allows Liz to have the input into helping shape the future of the Chwarae Teg.
