Women remain dramatically under-represented in positions that influence our culture, politics and institutions.

Current schemes are making headway but work still needs to be done to ensure that the voices of all members of society are being heard in decision making.

Our response to the Senedd’s Local Government and Housing Committee inquiry into diversity in local government. We have called for better data in order to understand who is standing for and being elected as well as action to tackle the multiple barriers faced by women and other underrepresented groups to ensure politics is truly inclusive.
