Tell us about your organisation
We are Tiny Rebel, an award-winning brewery from Newport, South Wales. We’re on a mission to bring you good times with a hint of beer. We do this by creating beers that will capture your imagination and defy your senses. When we’re not making awesome beer or opening new bars, we’re busy brewing up plans to better our people, community and planet.

Why are you supporting the awards?
Tiny Rebel has always been about people, community and beer - and that will never change. Paying it forward is in our DNA, whether it be through supporting charities, community projects or something as simple as giving up our time up to go and inspire the next generation in our local schools. We always want to do more.
Supporting the Chwarae Teg ‘Womenspire’ awards this year seems a fitting way to add to our celebrations for Tiny Rebel’s 10th birthday. The Community Award, in particular, is a perfect fit because so much of what we do is community – driven. We are really excited to be involved!
Why does gender equality matter to you?
There are many differing roles within brewing and our incredible team of 160 employees help to fight the stereotypes of the beer industry every day – we want our employees to be treated as equals, regardless of their gender.
It’s important that the brewing industry look to rebalance gender inequality in beer, and although craft beer currently remains a male-dominated world, we want to take steps to show that it doesn’t have to be this way.
Why do you support the work of Chwarae Teg?
We are aware of Chwarae Teg’s highly regarded legacy of driving gender equality within Wales and also how you support businesses to deliver gender equality in the workplace. The way you champion inclusive working practices within Wales is inspiring to us and as we want to be able to do better in our own industry, partnering with Chwarae Teg seems a great way to do this.
