Responsible for managing Darwin Gray’s communications, marketing strategy and business development, Anna was looking to develop her leadership skills.

Why did you sign up for the Career Development Programme with Chwarae Teg?

I work at Darwin Gray, a commercial law firm based in Cardiff. I am responsible for the website and social media management, creating and coordinating marketing content and events.

The programme offered the perfect opportunity for me to develop my leadership skills.

What did the programme do for you? What did you gain from the programme?

As well as an ILM certification and increased knowledge of leadership styles, I gained a lot of insight from the other women, all who had different experiences and approaches from a diverse range of organisations.

The additional sessions offered a wide range of topics to add further value to the programme; these helped me both professionally and with personal development.

What would you say to a woman considering signing up for the programme?

If you are looking to increase your confidence and leadership skills, this programme is a must. It has a fantastic level of support from the Chwarae Teg team, as well as materials both online and in the sessions. The programme offers a range of learning styles including various practical exercises to bring the material and theories to life. It provides an open forum to share and to make you feel comfortable that there are no ‘silly’ questions!
