Tash oversees all of Chwarae Teg’s policy and research work, including our engagement with the Senedd, Welsh Government, Westminster and UK Government. Tash ensures that we translate research into clear policy recommendations focused on tackling the structural causes of gender inequality, and seeks out new opportunities to influence change.

Tash has a firm understanding of the policy landscape in Wales, particularly in relation to equality, poverty, skills and the economy. She is a critical asset of Chwarae Teg, having recently led on the Gender Equality Review and our Manifesto for a Gender Equal Wales, and frequently represents Chwarae Teg at events and public sessions.

After attaining a PhD degree from Cardiff University School of Geography and Planning, Hade started working at Chwarae Teg in 2015. As a Research Partner, Hade both delivers and manages research into gender equality and diversity, experiences of women in various areas and topics, and enhancing women’s participation in Welsh economy and public life with a policy focus. She also explores new opportunities for research into the key issues facing women in Wales today.

Some of the primary research she carried out at Chwarae Teg are included: Bright: young women’s career aspirations; Triple Glazed Ceiling: Barriers to Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Women participating in the economy; “Society is the Disability”: Disabled women and work; “One Big Juggling Act”: Childcare and Homeschooling during the First Lockdown. Hade also leads the data collection and analysis of Chwarae Teg’s seminal annual report, State of the Nation.
